The octopus is a cephalopod mollusk that is widespread in the Mediterranean seabed and does not go beyond a depth of 200 meters.
What makes the Mediterranean octopus special?
Its main characteristic-which differentiates it from others of its kind-is the double row of suckers on each of its 8 tentacles. In the Mediterranean, it is caught at two different times of the year: from September to December (small size) and from May to July (large size).
